If my memory is right Dick Ferando from Gillespie Ill had a one 0f the ZL1 for a while. I also was a round the First 69 ZL1 Camaros to be delivered to Fred Gibb Chevrolet in La Harpe Ill. was fortunate enough to be living in centeral ill. an belonged to Centeral Illinois Corvette later in 1974 to 80 . done a lot of drag racing in the area to. Funny how people look at you when you start to talk about who you have meet an what you have done in this hobby. JD..

Another pair of rare Corvettes has to be the 2009 GT1 Championship Edition Convertibles. If I'm not mitaken, I think there were 7 black and 10 yellow. I tried to buy one last year but it was a little out of my reach.

I'm pretty sure Dick had the white one. There is some question about it being built as an L88 and then converted to ZL-1 by the dealer for the buyer.
The orange one is still (or was) owned by the original owner John Mahler, so it gets pretty hard to doubt it. I believe it was sold in 2005 and restored (????) which is very odd as the car was in great shape and carried its racing history, which restoration erased.
And then there is the yellow one that Roger owns in Maitland. I believe part of its history was being seized by the US government due to a previous owner having less that legal income and business operations long ago.

Then you remember this "rare" Corvette. That is Dave Dawdy and Dick Ferrando standing next to it, back in 1976.
