Default Ignition shield brackets question

I want to add the original ignition shielding back to my smallblock '69. I have a pair of the vertical shields but nothing else, no brackets, etc. What do I need to purchase just to attach the distributor cover and the vertical shields?
In looking at my AIM, I see the brackets up at the distributor, but where do they bolt to on the intake? Where do the vertical shields attach at the lower end?

Thanks!
Shannon

The easiest way to answer this would be for you to look in one of the many vendor catalogs that picture these parts and their relationship to one another. The distributor cover brackets go under the rear intake manifold bolts. There are two plug wire holders that bolt to the lower portion of the block on each side that also have threaded holes for the vertical shielding wingnuts.

I see someone on C3 forum posted a diagram of the ignition shields. My only wish would be for a larger version.

Hello Shannon,
I have all my ignition shielding attached on my small block. I'll check mine out tonight or tomorrow and get back with you.

As you wish - it's just a click away. A little blurry, but it should do.

I crawled under my car and took a look. Here' what I found, on the driverside, as stated earlier, top shield is fastened to a bracket that is held in place by the back intake manifold bolt. This bracket also holds a 4 hole sparkplug wire grommet. The vertical shield is bolted to the side of the top shield box and bolted at the bottom to another bracket that holds another 4 wire sparkplug grommet. This bracket is fastened to the engine block.

On the passengerside, the topshield is also fastened to a bracket that is held in place by the back intake manifold bolt. This bracket holds a 4 hole spark plug wire grommet. The vertical shield is bolted to the side of the top shield box. The bottom of the vertical shield is bolted to a chrome exhaust shield which is held in place by two angle type brackets held in place by the exhaust manifold bolts. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed descriptions! Now I'm off to pick through my catalogs to determine what exactly to buy.

Shannon,
Checking out the shielding has reminded me of the need to pull my exhaust mainfolds and paint them with the por-15 gray exhaust manifold paint. I've been putting this off for awhile now.
