Thanks to all who responded. I purchased the Prodigy controller and am pleased as I can be with the controller! It took all of 15 minutes to install and even comes with a cable to plug right into the convienence center plug that has been reserved for trailer brake controllers. No wiring! It only took about 5 minutes to set it up to get the right level of braking for my setup. The toughest part was deciding how to mount the controller since my Tahoe like most new trucks have a long steeply sloped dash. I finally decided to install under the cigarette lighter sockets, which necessitated me pulling the blank panel off and cutting a hole in it to allow the controller to be recessed into the dash. I just could not abide the look of a surface mounted device on the dash!

Glad to hear it! I like your recessed mount idea and wish I'd have done it in my truck.

Let us know how you like it after you use it.
