Solidlifters, As long as you pass some of that info you picked up on the way before the 60's set in we should be OK. :D

I will stick around. If I hang here long enough I might be the expert (That won't be a good thing.)

I am not wure who the member is and don't really care, but I think your idea of keep it to yourself is the way to go. I removed some of my personal info just to make it harder to find me, but with my business and vette sites, it probably is pointless.

I hope some of you guys will take a deep breath and feel the same way.
That about hits the nail on the head.

My only issue with corvetteforum is the "heirarchy" assumed by members with more post counts than others. Some assume since someone may have thousands of posts and all the little stars by there name that they are more knowledgable or held in higher regard.
Don't worry Jeff. Most of the people that have been here for a while know that post count doesn't matter a whole lot when it comes to knowledge about cars. There are sections where we get to BS a lot, like OT, and that adds to the post count even though often times it has nothing to do with cars. I think most members who have been here a while don't even look at the post count anymore...unless we are looking to see if the poster might be a troll.

AC,
Just to show you what I know. I thought "he who dies with the most posts wins" I am just not quite sure "what" he (or she if you look over at OT) wins!!

I am guilty of building up my post count. but I am on a mission. 10,000 posts gets you a personal avatar. I do visit OT, but I do as many posts in the C3 section.

Plus I am trying to get my 10,000 on my slowbutt 33.6 dialup.

I try to add context to every post that I make,(even in OT).

And the only reason I will look at a person's post count is to see if they are closer to a personal avatar than I am.

Oh! And I do read every post that I can, top to bottom. :seeya
