NCRS points
Where can I find how many points are assigned to each part on a 'vette? I have the NCRS Tech & Judging guide, but it doesn't specify how many points I'd get for a #'s matching alternator vs. a GM replacment, etc...I checked the NCRS website, can't find what I'm looking for...help :chevy

You need the judging sheets for your year car. I can e-mail you the set for 68-72 if you'd like or email the NCRS Judging Chairman Roy Sinor at

You also need the "NCRS Judging Reference Manual", also known as the "white book", which has all the standard deduction tables for replacement/service parts, etc. - you can order it at the NCRS on-line store at http://www.ncrs.org . :thumbs:

Good luck. As a technique, make photocopies of your judging sheets and go over your car with the judging guide and do a self-judgin. Deduct your points and see how you do. Buy/fix/mend a few parts and then redo the judging. You will be surprised how well you do once you know what to look for, what to deduct for and what the judging manual has to say about the various bits and pieces.
