Looks like a project that I am going to be starting soon on one of my buddies car's. Good luck and hopefully it goes smoothly.

Geez-O-Peete! Better you than me. Is this thing going to be off the road the summer of '07 too? Ya gotta time your projects for the winter months so you can drive the car when the weather is decent.

You know I would see if I could keep it running and a good frame before I invested any time and $$$ on the interior. JMO.

godless, thanks for the offer. me and my dad are working on it so i think weve got it coverd.

deb, normaly i would agree with that statement. the diffrence here is i came across a great deal on new carpet and pads. and most of the rest of the interior parts are in great shape. and with the complete lack of accessories, computers, and mass amounts of wireing, this actually looks to be a much easier project then i thought.

thank ya.

this weekend with it looking nice, im going to see about yanking off the exhaust and maybe even the shifter and linkage. of course i have to drive the car a LITTLE bit with open manifolds. wonder how many little kids i can scare as it goes through the sub division next door....

i think im even going to start wire brushing the frame while ive got it up in the air and put a coat of paint over it.

I'm with you Deb. I just don't see the point in doing all that work and spending all that money on a car that he can't keep running for more then a day and the frame is rusting out of it.

See FSR's post............. If you cant keep it running......... and it has nothing salvagable are you going to rebuy the car pc by pc? The cost of ALL that let alone the time would buy a Vette from every Generation and then some. Im sure there is a huge market for the parts on either judging from the pics
