I can't make the show but how about a get together down on university/some restaurant in the burbs or something in the next few weeks? Another option is Corvette Specialties up in Blaine. They have some enough parking for 50+ vettes right around them.
I would also be all about a "mod day" if someone had access to a shop. I have two hands to help somebody wrench on their ride.

You guys are all welcome to come up to BIR on the 24th of this month for an open track day. 
There are a handful of Vettes already signed up, as well as a nice variety of other cars.
BIR September 24th - open track event
Everyone is welcome, and spectating is free. Come on up and at least go for some rides around the track. (Passengers are allowed after instructor sign off)
