Keep your eyes peeled on the corvette C5 PARTS, for sales section, as they also occassionaly pop up there (DTE Brace) but don't last long when they do and you have to move fast if the price is fair!
Any lady the races car, well iet's just Now I really can wait!!
Hey are any of you running drag radial on a M6 car. I have some and i was worried if anyone ever broken a rear end or heard of such? Because I always hear of M6 cars broking rear ends ,but mostly F-body cars.
I will be on a DR this time out..... just remember to let off immediately should you get any sign of wheel hop.
We need a meeting spot (Bartlett area). Any suggestions? Sure hope theres a Mustang group there on the 20th. Nothing pleases me more then to stomp on a Cobra! Dominic, I will wash your Z if you let me run it down the track. I want to see if it could handle 8000rpms Go buy a pair of Drag Radials so you get some traction please
Jeff, you have two weeks to get your ZR1 ready. You can do it! Is Dominic going?
Sorry to break the news to you, that is not happening.. I am not going to rush getting the Z on the road right now. I still have a ton of work to do on it.

We could meet in the HD Parking lot on Stearns and 59 and leav from there.. which way do you guys typically take out there?
I will be in my GTP and my 5 year old might be coming with.
I will not know if I am going until I know what the weather is going to be like.

This is not meant to be a hijack of this thread but just a helpful heads up for those looking to get as much drag racing in by the end of this season.
DA GROVE (Great Lakes Dragway), has fun racing open to the public for personal test and tune from 5PM to 10PM, every weeknight (except Mondays and Thursday) through October and from 10am to 5pm on Sat. and Sunday throught Octboer. Also, Fun Racing open to the public on Sat. and Sunday, 10AM through 4PM, through all of November (weather permitting).
For most in the west suburbs of Chicago (far and near) and of course those in the City and up North, DA GROVE is only 1 hour away and all highway driving. 6 of us went up there yesterday and had a blast and they have really improved that track now that it is an official NHRA track!

Yeah Dominic, DA GROVE tech is very laid back also like BYRON (very similar) especially for test and tune/open to the public fun race days.
I don't like Da grove anymore. It use to be a good track to go to but now the people suck. And it cost arm and two legs to race there. I when one a Saturday night and there was no events or anything going on and it costed $37.00 dollars.

It is on the expensive side but the track is improved significantly vs. what it is 5 to 10 years ago (especially when they still had the old school metal guardrails).
I do like BYRON as a track alot and it is a lot cheaper ($25 right?); but Union Grove is a lot more convenient for those in the west suburbs as it takes me exactly 1 hour to get there (all highway driving) from Elmhurst, and on a test and tune night if you get there right at 5pm you can get an easy 10 runs in b/f it gets too crowded!
Thats cool, I mean the Dagrove was the only track i would go to. So I am very familar with it and it's history. I guess when the da grove srewed UBDRA out of 10,000 or so dollars on one of there events i just lost my intrested in atending there. But enjoy there I just will not go there to often at all.
My last experience at Dagrove was bad one. The test n tune guys where waiting forever while snowmobiles and mini fuelers and bikes were being let through. I was able to get one run in being there 4 hours. BUT they sell beer there,
In case anyone else is interested, =Jeff= and myself will be at intersection of 47 and 20 around 8:30. There's a John Deere dealership on the north side of 20 just east of 47. We're expecting bobmic and Rice Eating ZR-1 to meet us there. Anyone else, let us know and I'll pm my cell number.
