There have been some confusion and consistency issues related to sticky threads, but the moderators have vetted the issue and now have a revised set of rules/guidelines that we hope will help promote events such as this while trying to avoid making every event in every events section a sticky thread.

As per request, this thread can remain sticky for 5 days to give it initial exposure. Then, as a "regional" event, you can request that it be made sticky again 30 days before the event.

I should still be good. I put in for vacation time at work and the schedule seems good to allow that - I just haven't gotten "official confirmation" from my supervisor yet.

don't worry; if I remember correctly from the last one - many people can't make plans this far in advance. So as the event date nears - I imagine you'll see a lot more members sign up - once they know what their short-term schedule is.

And others will never "sign up" because they won't know for certain until the evening before.
