Default Headers install

Hi guys,
Most people I don't know here since I really couldn't go or unable to go to meets and shows because of my job. I ordered the LG Street headers from a group purchase and should be at my doorstep this Thursday or Friday. Although I am embaraased to ask, I'll ask anyway. I pm'd Rick from Rick Anthony about his cost of install - gave me a quote of $350-400 but without a tune. Called FLP -quoted me $540 and $450 for install and tune respectively. Also did call DID performance in Crest Hill, $500 for tune and have not received a quote on install. Any other suggestions. I can probably do the install on jack stands but don't really have the time. Thank you very much.
BTW -will have it done late September or early October.

Yeah, Call Powerhouse Performance in Orland Park, IL, as they can do the install and tune and do incredible work. Call them after 4:30 PM Monday through Friday at 708-342-0043 and Saturday's after 7:45 a.m.

They have been my primary LS1/6 mechanics on 4 different C5s I have owned over the last 7 years!

You welcome and you will have made a very wise decision going with John at Powerhouse, as this is right up his alley, his customer service and workmanship is second to none, and his pricing is very competitve!

There's a place in the industrial park behind Oswego Highschool, unfortunately I can't remember their name right now. Camaro/GTO guys.

If you're going to do them yourself let me know and I'll swing by. I haven't done anything to my vette, but I've pulled and put enough subaru motors/trannies/youname it to make me want to keep my vette stock and enjoy it for a while

Edit:

Modern Muscle is the shops name.

Mail order tunes are a joke, There is no way they can see what is going on with your car unless they get it on the dyno or on the street with tuning software, Save your money for some dyno time.

I think I will go to Powerhouse in Orland Park for the tune. With regards to the install, I am currently communicating with another member right now who lives in my town and have a lift. Checking to see if we can coordinate our time. Looking at some of the header install instructions, it looks pretty simple enough and I do have the proper tools, my biggest hindrance is lifting the car up. I know some have done it on jack stands, with jackstands thought I'll need about 19 inches if not more in space which is pretty high not mentioning the possible danger of the stands failing. So we'll see.

Yeah, but they are a little bit of distance. Orland park is about 20-25 mins away from me. One reason I went with them for the rear end is because they were the only shop that removes and replaces the gears of the rear end as opposed to just replacing the whole rear end. Thank you for the suggeston though
