WOW! First let me say that I have had HP do all my work during the past few years and the work has always been great. Kev is a great Mechanic and I will use him for things, and I will still turn to HP for things as well. Recently had work done by Kevin, went to HP and everyone wanted to know about the car, you see those who spend their saturdays there know the reason for him leaving, had to do with time spent working, having more time for his Family. Craig you are a major reason my son car and my car are what they are, youve always been fair with me and never let me waste money on things I didnt need. Most of all Craig you are my friend. You run a great shop, Joel lookin forward to our cruise on the first and seein those parts!

It is, especially in C6s or C5s not making anymore power than a stock C6 Z. Its only when you go to the big horsepower applications (at least cam headers, heads (if non C6 Z), tune, all supporting bolt ons making at least 530rwhp or so, that many C5, C6 and C6 Z owners (not all) upgrade from the stock LS7 clutch if they are already running one. LS7 clutch is a good clutch and of course it will also depend on how hard the owner will be beating (or racing) their car with sticky tires, etc.
Perfect example if Mike MVR, in his bolt on C5 Z that runs well into the 11s with drag radials, he is running the LS7 clutch and LOVES it!

The LS7 is a good clutch. I wanted to reduce rotating mass and lighten up my C6Z - WHich now weighs in at 2850 pounds
Great clutch and great work by HP
Good deal. I was just curious about that clutch, I had read quite a few threads in the tech section where C6Z guys had complaints about it sticking and a few other issues. I also know of a C5Z person that put that clutch in his car (making about 430RWHP) and he had issues too. But sounds like maybe those were just problems when they first came out.
The clutch is awesome - RPS changed the design of the Street Twin Lite and made it basically the same as the billet, just without the one billet piece. This manufacturing change just happened - The only reason I know about the change is that I bought my clutch from a very good friend of mine who is well known in this industry - Tony Mamo.
Thus, if you are thinking about getting a clutch - You can just get the street twin lite now, as it is the same as the billet, just without the billet cover piece.
I would highly recommend this clutch. If you want Tony;s information for pricing, just send me a PM. It launches the car and is one of the best mods I have done.
I hope that this helps.
