has anyone got a tune from speed inc? How are the results? I'm just doing the basic tune for know untill i get more stuff done. Some people say a tune will wake the car up some say it doesnt do much. Whats the feed back???
I would wait 'till you at least have CAI and LT's (if you don't already) to justify the tune. But to answer your question, I know people who had their cars tuned by Jim @ Speed inc. and are satisfied with the results.
i've heard satisfying stories but i also heard a horror story that speed inc makes you sign a waver that if they blow up your engine they are not responsible..i guess some guy had his c6Z06 worked on and tuned by speed inc and i guess speed inc blew up his motor and called the guy telling him that his car is out front with a blown motor and to come pick it up.

just a story i heard don't mark my words lol
You do sign a waiver, but i highly doubt if they would of blown my motor to leave it in front for me to pick it up. I might of brought my tahoe for some remodeling if you know what i mean.
They did a nice job on my Z, cammed and tuned and not a single problem.

I would be surprised if there was a shop that didn't make you sign a waiver of responsibility. thats pretty much standard procedure for every dyno pull or dyno tune.

Yep, unfortunately this is one of the risks you have to deal with when you roll the dice with modding.
Thats BS to make a comment with out knowing the true facts on any shop or person. I don't think any shop would just leave a car in front and say come pick it up, I also have spent alot of time on the dyno and always sign a waver it's just life things happen.

Jim Moran at Speed Inc is an excellent dyno tuner and has tuned 2 stock LS6 engines of mine in 2 different C5 Zs i previously owned, and he tuned my blown eb 02 Z (previously sold) with its forged LS6 and D1 blower to 710rwhp (and I was very satisfied).

like i previously stated "DONT MARK MY WORDS" just sharing something i heard is that ok? and what else would a shop do since your signing a waiver? obviously signing for a reason

Other guys must be dating the techs there or something. The forum rules state something like you can't talk bad about Forum venders. You can only say nice things.

You can have a complaint, but the shop is allowed to respond and then the thread is locked. Or that's at least what I've seen.
IMHO there are much better resources out there for finding information on shops.
Speed inc modded my previous C6, and they did an awesome job. I have nothing but good things to say about them. There is some vicious guy that will PM you each time you bring up speed inc and tell you a horror story. I have personally checked this story out and it's all BS. Probably competitor or something. I have spent over $5k with Speed inc and will probably spend more when my Z06 is out of warranty.
