U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and
said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as
long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every
nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State
Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's
administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national
controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms
in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control
and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of
international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international
treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State
Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US
Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be
subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws
that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United
Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws
are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of
all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun
control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US
citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the
public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in
the United States ) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in
secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to
international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is
telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun
control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one
morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits
firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will
wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that
prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet
another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US
citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection
and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care
will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means
necessary, so will gun control.

direction in which our country is headed.

An antigun group based in Lincolnwood, Illinois is trying to block the opening of a gun shop and range in that village.

Although the shop owner enjoys the support of local public officials, there are some zoning changes that must be made. Those zoning changes will be debated at a public meeting on Tuesday, July 17th with a board vote to follow. The anti-gun group will be there to try to bully the village board into banning the shop and range. You need to be there to make it clear that you will not tolerate antigunner attempts to stifle your right to keep and bear arms.

As lawful gun owners, you need to come to the defense of the 2nd Amendment and show your support for the shop and range.

Here is what you need to do to protect the right to keep and bear arms:

1. Attend the village board meeting.

2. Be sure to wear your IGOLD, ISRA or NRA hat so that your presence is noted.

3. Bring a friend or two to the meeting with you.

Illinois:

The Governor of Illinois is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.

1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.

2. He calls animal control .. Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.

4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.

5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.

6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.

7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

8 The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.

9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.


Wisconsin:

The Governor of Wisconsin is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks the dog.

1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his concealed carry pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.

2. The Crows eat the dead coyote.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Illinois is broke ...and Wisconsin is not.
