Hey Dan,our car was the first Camaro that King Speed sponsered. It was orange and white And was sold to the Burrel brothers in 1972. It was totally wrecked at a dragstrip out west. The driver was ok because of the roll cage we built in it. Don
Hi my names stephanie jordan, I’m ron jordans daughter. I was wondering if you still had an idea where the kingray is or who I could get in contact with who might know, Ron passed away in May 2018 and I’ve been on such a mission to find this car. Thanks!

I also would go to "Whites Pit Stop". They also had a place in Lansing, Illinois. They may have had a place in Indiana too. I did know Dave White a little bit. He went to the same high school and rode the same school bus as me. He was running the shop in Lansing after high school. He was probably working there while still in high school. I don't know what he does now.
I think I actually have one of Ron from Kings bussiness cards in my desk. Nobody knows what happened to the Kingray huh? Now I gotta find the old Corvette Fever it was in.
Ron’s daughter just contacted me about the Kingray does anyone know where it is right now?
Hi Stephanie Don Conner here. So sorry to hear about Ron, We had a lot of fun with all the guys from King speed especially when we went on road trips to race the cars. Bud and Ron were the best. As far as the kingray I didn't know much about it. I read on here that someone said it might be in Canada. If you had a vin # I can find it for you. All the best Don.
I recently saw a photo of a 1970 Nova called the Dancin Deuce and Kings Speed Shop on the front fender. It looked like it had a fiberglass front end. Was this a car Kings had or does anyone remember the car or who owned it?
I have a 1968 Camaro that supposedly was a King Speed Shop Camaro. Was told by the guy I purchased it from, an ex-brother-in-law, that when he bought it, sometime in the late 1980's, that he could see the words, KING SPEED SHOP, on the doors.
Wondering if anyone remembers it.
1968 Camaro
Blue with the White Big Block Racing Stripes.
Big Block, 4 speed, and I believe an Olds rear end.
If it's the same car, I remember it well. Your ex-brother-in-law bought it (as well as a silver corvette stingray) from my Dad in the late 80's. This was one of my Dad's first cars they raced. He went on to build a pro stock car in the garage that raced at US30 called High Pockets. If the story I remember is correct. My Dad loaned this car to Gene Noran (sp?), who raced for the King Speed Shop. I think it was only one season or two. It had the King Speed Shop on the doors until the early 80's when I took it off, because we planned on putting it back on the street.
Anybody remember King Speed shop in Lansing IL.? And whatever happened to their car the Kingray? Just wondering, I saw what appeared to be my old '85 the other day that had been at that shop dozens of times for mods! I know King closed awhile ago, but I can still remember the first time I heard the Kingray fire up, after that the mods on my cars never stopped! Anyways, I figured somebodys gotta be old enough on here to remember them!
my mom worked at KSS in lansing for Bud. I know where the Kingray is
Hey, That orange and white Camaro was My car with Shelly Fishman and frank Neace. They have both passed away but Im still kickin and living in Las Vegas. We were part of the King speed team out of Lansing and we lived in Chi on the south side. Sold the first green and yellow camaro to the Tuff rabbit Burell Bros but they crashed it in Tex at a strip there. Sold the 70 High Chapparal to a Doctor in 1972. Really enjoyed raceing in the old days traveled with the UDRA circut and the coca-cola team. Great to see the car on here,,Don Conner.

I grew up in Palatine IL and one of my friends neighbor had a Blue 63 Impala with "The King" on the door. It was around 1977 or 1978. I knew it was an old drag car and looked like it had been sitting for a long time. One day it was gone. I've always wondered what happened to it. I could never find any pictures of it either. It was near Palatine and Ela road.
My dad built the Kingray from that shop!! He also built the 32 Ford 3 Window that was at Kings Speed Shop!! We just found the 32 a few weeks ago, not sure where the Kingray is now tho. We still have the calendar and Corvette magazine the car was in.
