Sorry I crapped out. No vette and the cold morning sucked my ambition out of me. Did work around the house instead. :( Hope to have the vette fully operational by the beggining of next season. Glad everyone had a great time. The hockey down get together sounds like a winner. :yesnod:
There isn't a dang thing I would improve on the cruise Dave! Loved the roads, the colors and the comraderie of a L-O-N-G string of Vettes in my rear view mirror! Here's a cheezy photo my hubby took....
Keep on the lookout for next spring, our 2nd cruise through Hines and dinner at the Deadwood. It really was a great cruise and alot of fun. (although I won't be the lead car!)
Ditto's on all the other comments. Thanks Dave. Had fun following Bill ("Enhancd") from Hell to Webberville. Shut off the traction control on the C5 at one stop sign and got yelled at when we sorta got sideways. (Marylyn likes slow and straight). I have to promise to be good and drive straight, but we'll definitely be back on the next cruise. :reddevil
 Sounds like my wife. We could have been moving along at a much quicker pace. I know I'm cornering fast enough when she reaches for the doro handle to hold on.
I think it will take until spring for the finger imprints to come out of the door panel, as my wife was holding on at every curve, stop sign, and heck half of the straight portions, and I only had the traction control off once. Must be a wife thing
And to think that I was taking it nice and easy being the lead car. Who was it that said 1/2 way through that there were some huge gaps in the ranks? My first thought was "you're in a Corvette. Why is that a problem? Speed up and catch the car in front of you" :D I should have just driven like I normall do and let the rest of you either keep up or get lost (literally)
On the second leg of the trip, I was behind the pack of C5's that were behind Dave. Since they learned how to turn the traction control off :D I think they were leaving a gap and catching up to Dave (in a hurry I must say...and yes, I am jealous :yesnod:). I was pushing pretty hard to keep up with them. Not sure who was behind me, (Red C5) but I think the gap started after him.
Maybe next time, the C5/C4's can be in the back of the pack playing catch up while us old C3/C2's cruise along out front. Or maybe just the C3/C2's stay in a pack in the middle. :D
