Hey dde, you layed out a good road trip! I enjoyed it immensly. The roads were made for a Corvette. Hope to do this again soon but next time I will bring a passenger and camcorder to video the cruise.
Glad you guys enjoyed it. It was a little bit of a pain keeping 20+ cars together, but I think it turned out great. I'll have the pics I took posted later tonight. Then I'll get to see how good my pics turned out when they were taken upside down out the tinted back window of a moving car :D
I hope we can do another cruise like that next year. I think soemone mentioned something in the spring. That'd be great!
When did everyone leave the Brewing Company? I had to leave right away to get to my Neice's b-day party. I thought the Brewing Company would be a good ending point so people could chat a bit more and compare bird-killing stories as opposed to just reaching a certain point and saying "bye everyone!"
I hope to see everyone again soon. Who's interested in a Hockeytown Cafe get-together sometime this winter (sans Vettes)?
Dave - great idea, excellent planning, and excellent execution. Was great to see such a large turn out, especially in light of the iffy weather. And seeing all those C3s should inspire me to get mine bac on the road :bb
I thing a spring Return To Hell would be a great way to open the season for next year. One can never go to Hell too often. Hopefully we will have a larger turn out as well. I know I for one will be telling all the local forum members that they should go to Hell each and every time I see them :reddevil
Great turn out and a great day (I like the cold :D ). Dave, great route, a lot of fun. Beth took some great in car pictures but only one came out good.
We all sort of filtered out slowly from the brewery. I think I left about 4pm. Like others said... great route. I love the twisties. It was nice meeting more CF people from the area.
I just found out that I've got a 3.70 rear end sitting at my parents' house waiting to come out here at go under The Beast. Can't wait for next year.
Bill: REPLACE THAT HEAD GASKET AND COME HAVE SOME FUN WITH US C3ers!!!!!!!!!! There were too many C5s as it was. We need more representation.
The pics are being uploaded right now. I don't think I did too bad taking pics while driving. I was lining up the rear shots looking out the rear-view mirror, holding the camera over my shoulder, upside-down.
Waiting for the slow pokes to arrive from 7 & 275 :D
Everyone here, ready to depart:
Dining at the finest restaurant in Hell
Ready to depart
The view from up front
The REAR-view from up front Can you find the Corvette in this picture?
Look at all them shiny Corvettes (and one grimy old Ford truck)
There was a good representation from almost all generations (who's got a solid axle?!?!)
Comcast we being finicky tonight and wouldn't let me load all of the pics. I'll try again tomorrow. So all of the thumbnails are there, but some of the big pics are missing.
I spy, with my eye, something that begins with the letter 'C'.
hint: its not cornfields
great snap shots!
re: slowpokes from & & 275
we weren't slow. there was a gazillion lights between our meeting place and dewey's all of them, i swear, were stuck on red!
Dave, excellent planning for the route, and what a great turnout of cars. Heck, even the weather turned out to be great for mid October (ignoring the drizzle at Deweys). Great photos also.
Michigan Brewing was a good place to end up; however, I would have not want to try to fit anymore people in there, as it is much smaller taht I had pictured.

I'd not been there before either.
Funny though. I called the Dam Site Inn to let them know we had a group of 30+ coming. "No problem!! We're used to hundreds!!" Hundreds?! WHERE?!? We pretty much packed that place.
If anyone thinks there's anything that should have been different, let me know. This is the first such event I've put together and we can always make it better.
I'm still impressed with the turnout. 22 Corvettes is nothing to sneeze at.
Hey, did the bikers in Dansville stand there and watch everyone go by? One of them was walking across the street when we were approaching. He looked in interest, I gave him an enthusiastic wave and he returned in kind. He had a  look on his face, too.

Hundreds, that gives new meaning to "standing room only"
I waved at a couple of bikers also, and got waves back.
It must have been the day for cruises, as my wife and I saw a third group of Vettes out for the day on our way home. We were on M36 in Hamburg, and there was at least 30 vettes, all C4s and C5s, pulling into a restaurant at about 4:30. Don't know who they were, as we didn't have time to stop.
I have one thing that could have changed, do it on a day that I could have gone :cry . I wanted to go sooooo bad but I had to race up north that weekend, OH WELL I will try and make the next one. :seeya
i was near the end of our caravan. the bikers in danville were still looking but looked to be suiting up to leave themselves. a couple of locals were standing at the mobil station too.
other than the weather, i cant think of any improvements.
good company, good food, good cruisin roads.
it was fun giving the old girl a little bit of a run!
re: hundres: no kidding. they didnt even have enough parking
Thanks for organizing this Dave. It was a great time. Debbie and I had a lot of fun. Everyone was really nice and there was a good variety of cars. The drive back home to Ohio was nice too. We should definitely do this again. :D
I wish Sarah and I could have made it, but the trip to Cedar Point Friday night, the 2:30am return - the 8:30am photo shoot with a model  Saturday morning - and the noon BBQ with a sport compact club left us wiped out and on the couch Sunday in full recovery mode.
PS Bill people tell me I can go to hell all the time - must be a great place! :jester
Ditto's on all the other comments. Thanks Dave. Had fun following Bill ("Enhancd") from Hell to Webberville. Shut off the traction control on the C5 at one stop sign and got yelled at when we sorta got sideways. (Marylyn likes slow and straight). I have to promise to be good and drive straight, but we'll definitely be back on the next cruise. :reddevil

 Sounds like my wife. We could have been moving along at a much quicker pace. I know I'm cornering fast enough when she reaches for the doro handle to hold on.
