My first positive experience at Chevy Dealership(shout-out to Castle Chevrolet North)
Hi,
I just came back from Castle Chevrolet North near Chicago. I love this place. After so many traumas I got after visiting other dealerships to fix my C7 GS this is really a nice change.
I went there for oil change, engine filter change, magnetic ride upgrade, squealing Brembo brakes and cracked stock wheels. Andy is their Corvette Tech and is also a member of this forum. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy. I've sent him private message heads up I will be coming for service today and he walked up to me when I got there to start a conversation. It truly makes a difference to finally talk to somebody honest. Looks like a lot of Corvettes are coming there for service. I was there at 7AM on the dot and there were already 2 C7's in front of me. Andy treated my car with care, properly protecting carbon ceramic brakes before taking the wheels of. All of their staff is really friendly. I worked with advisor named Mark. No mistakes in papers, fair prices, I am really happy. Place has a nice waiting area, with isolated room if anybody needs to make a phone call. It was very quiet there overall, no strange music playing like pretty much in any other place I've been in. I was able to work from there no problem.
We are open for business. We have an independent contract.
Your shop is located in Elk Grove Village, correct? Are you able to service C5's (I have an '04 base coupe) as well? Is your Corvette service offered separately from the general public that comes into the service area at the dealership? Thanks.

I work on all generations and it’s a Chevrolet dealer so we have one service lane for all vehicles. I also work on any GM vehicles bumper to bumper and diesel.

When I schedule my C5 service, can I specifically request that a Corvette specialist only be assigned to work on my car? I want to ensure that my C5 is taken care of properly due to the age of the car. Thanks.

I'm sure that would be that case as Andy works on all the Corvettes. He comes on the forum as a courtesy, why not ask him directly (though not on a Sunday)?
Thanks! Andy reached out to me via PM regarding the process of scheduling his tech services. It's great to know his contact info is here for future reference.
