Anybody interested in North East Ohio, there will be an LS1 Edit on November 2, 2003 at BackStreet Performance in Medina, Ohio. There are four C5 Vette's scheduled for the edit. Stop by and see what the "tuners" can get. Starting time is 9:00 AM. More info, email me. JCL :yesnod: :yesnod:
Re: " LS1 Edit. Come watch.............." ($$$frumnuttin')
$$$frumnuttin'. It's about 1.5 to 2.0 hours from Toledo. TP is probably the quickest way, but you have to come south at I71. Or get off at Norwalk, take Rt. 250 South to Rt. 18 East to Medina. Not a bad run.
Summit is only another 30 minutes East. Make the whole round. Bring friends. Later, JCL :yesnod: :yesnod:

Yeah, that's an easy trip from Toledo. JCL's right - we should all make a run over to Summit afterwards. If you haven't been there lately, the remodel is fantastic. Oh, and bring women for Jason.

Jason bring a bunch......................While your Vette is having the edit done, Bob and I will keep the women informed...............JCL
Just got word we'll have a visit from a Viper that day too.......... Need to get a baseline before doing some exhaust work this winter. Later, JCL :yesnod:
Just got the X pipe installed on the FRC. Tomorrow the Blackwing and new plugs. Should be ready by Sunday for the LS1 Edit. Looking for some good gains between exhaust, air filter, X, and the edit. Stop by if you have a chance. JCL :yesnod: :yesnod:
PS. The X pipe didn't fit for crap. Name brand too............... :nonod: :nonod:
Well, that was great! It was interesting seeing how the programming changed the performance of the cars. The '02 Z06, stock with a Halltech Tric filter setup and a baseline of 354 HP 330 (?) lbs./ft. of torque, came out smiling with 381 hp and 366 lbs./ft. JCL's FRC was next up, and turned a 313 from a base of 293. There's something else going on there, though, as he just added a Blackwing, and we think there should be more there. He's got a restriction somewhere along the line. 03Ragtop was up on the dyno when we had to leave, so I'm waiting to hear how you did, Jason! And me - I broke something  Not sure when I'll get the Edit done, but maybe as soon as tomorrow. Something went in the rear end - diagnosis tomorrow morning.
So even on basically stock cars, we saw nice gains with a simple programming change. Mostly it was adjusting the air/fuel mix across the board - we were all way rich. That seemed to wake up the cars more than anything. So I'm still waiting to see what happens with my car, and I hope Jason chimes in with good news later this evening. Sorry we had to get out of there and leave - you had a long day. Let us know!
Re: " LS1 Edit. Come watch.............." (BSiegPaint)
As BSiegpaint said. Great day. Thanks to all who came and participated. Good things going on at the Back Street Performance, right here in North East Ohio.
Got a couple of ideas where my restriction might be. Eric and I will do another run on Wednesday.
Dave. Great results...............
Jason keep us posted.............
Later, JCL :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
Got a nice bump of 12hp and 5ft-lbs, with a much wider torque curve, and am scheduled for another session in 2 weeks. Eric thinks there is more there to gain, and wants to talk to Steve about it before trying again.

What did this bring your numbers to? Looks like the 12s are there for the taking!
Re: " LS1 Edit. Come watch.............." (03Ragtop)
Jason. Sounds good. I'm going back in Wednesday for another session. Let US know when your going to be back up to Back Street, and we'll "come on down." Later, JCL :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
