That sounds good. Where will you be staying? I will porbably be in Terre Haute.

We have reservations for Friday & Saturday at
Comfort Suites
501 E. Margaret Ave. , Terre Haute, IN, US, 47802
Phone: (812) 235-1770

Rates were very reasonable and it looked decent.

Figured I would check at the next Monday meet to see if anyone else was going.

Sounds good. I will probably stay in Terre Haute and drive over Saturday morning. Seems like all the hotels are booked, which I figured they would be.
See if I can figure out where the forum members are going to park. We will try to hook up.

""Hi Dan,
We do have an area which can hold about 80 cars, which we can reserve for your group (Corvetteforum). But if there is space available in this area and we run out of room we will have to park other Corvettes with you. This is a prime location on our new ground in the middle of a new display area we are planning. Your Club would be a central focus of this area.

However, the only way we can do this, is if you can all meet elsewhere and drive in together. I also need to know the approximate time of your arrival and will give you instructions on what gate to come in. Also need to put something on each car to denote your group so we can see you when you pull in - just let us know what to look for. Are you planning to put up tents or awnings? There may be limited space for that also.

By the way, we are opening the show on Friday the 17th, if anyone would like to come earlier.
Let me know what your group decides.

Now all we need to do it get this co-ordinated. Anyone want to help. We are not coming until Saturday we really need someone going in Friday and a meeting location for all three days so we can show up in force. Anyone willing to help out? I am going to write the mods and see if we can make this a sticky. This could be really cool if we can pull it off. Great exposure for the forum as well. Lets make this happen guys.

While I acknowledge that this would be great, is MAM saying that everyone would have to arrive simultaneously? This would seem ludicrous and an incredible logistical hurdle, but that's what it sounds like. Would everyone then be "stuck there" until some designated departure time? Maybe I'm missing something

That issue has since been cleared up with them as well. There will be no need to arrive nor leave at the same time.

We need only come up with some forrm of unique identification for all forum members cars so that their parking directors can identify us and direct us to the proper entrance to our special area. We are in the process of getting/making CF stickers to be placed on the windshields of forum member cars prior to entry on the grounds. We are currently waiting for CF administration to approve our request to use the forum logo and/or get us some stickers to purchase.
Once this hurdle is crossed, we will find a way to get them out to all the forum members prior to the show, as well as instructions on what to expect upon arrival at the grounds.

Stay tuned for more info.

Update:
________________________________________ ________________
hi Dan,

If the members have some kind of very recognizable window flag or decal on their front windshield and you send me a sample that I can show to the parkers we may be able to work around having them all come in at once.

You could post something on your site for them to print out and attach to their windshield or antenna before they arrive to the grounds.

Will we be able to post a link on your forum to our website in exchange?

Thanks,
Cheryl

bizaro, may I suggest that someone make a logo or other identifier which could be posted here, with the ability for everyone to download and print it individually. I suppose some unscrupulous individuals not members of the forum could do it too, although why they would I don't know !
