Don
We are going to start over Friday night. We have a room in Terre Haute for Friday night and Saturday night. We will go to Funfest Saturday and head back to hotel for the night and return to warm and cheerful Centerville Sunday.
I don't know if that fits into yor plans anywhere or not.
Let us know.

I am going Saturday & maybe Sunday, I will be going back to Indy for the night Saturday.( Only a 2 hr. drive) It would be nice if we could get a designated area for Corvette Forum members to meet & park, anyone have any ideas?

I sent an Email to the general offices at Mid America asking for parking privilages, I stated that we would help increase the attendance if they helped with our request, I said in the message that we could probably have 50 to 75 Corvettes there.

Somehow I'm not thinking they will bend over with preferential parking. Here's a link started a while back.http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...hlight=funfest I wish people would do a quick search before starting a NEW events threads. It would be alot easier to co ordinate a get together if we are all on the same page.

Tr Indy aka Dan got this pulled off. here's the email sent to Dan.
""Hi Dan,
We do have an area which can hold about 80 cars, which we can reserve for your group (Corvetteforum). But if there is space available in this area and we run out of room we will have to park other Corvettes with you. This is a prime location on our new ground in the middle of a new display area we are planning. Your Club would be a central focus of this area.

However, the only way we can do this, is if you can all meet elsewhere and drive in together. I also need to know the approximate time of your arrival and will give you instructions on what gate to come in. Also need to put something on each car to denote your group so we can see you when you pull in - just let us know what to look for. Are you planning to put up tents or awnings? There may be limited space for that also.

By the way, we are opening the show on Friday the 17th, if anyone would like to come earlier.
Let me know what your group decides.

Now all we need to do it get this co-ordinated. Anyone want to help. We are not coming until Saturday we really need someone going in Friday and a meeting location for all three days so we can show up in force. Anyone willing to help out? I am going to write the mods and see if we can make this a sticky. This could be really cool if we can pull it off. Great exposure for the forum as well. Lets make this happen guys.

I would ask them why can't they just have the forum members (only) enter into the 2nd (paved) driveway by the main office buiding?
Someone (either a member or MA personnel) would only need to plant a big sign at the first (dirt) entrance saying "Corvetteforum members only enter Gate C" (or whatever entrance designation it is). Logistically, this shouldn't be too tough to manage..

This still leaves the other driveway, plus the dirt entrance at the far end of the grassy field (where they normally have the cars enter) for everyone else.

Getting the center grass area reserved is too

That sounds identical to what we were looking at doing. Maybe we could meet and head over together. What hotel are you staying at?

Figured I would check at the next Monday meet to see if anyone else was going.

We will leaving sometime Friday evening between 5:30 and 6:00. If someone wants to caravan over together let me know where to meet up. We will most likely take the US 35 bypass around Dayton up to
I 70 west bound and go from there.

Sounds like a plan. I will be heading north on 75 through Dayton then connect to I 70. I can meet wherever is convenient.
