Search?

I am a new member and I am having problems using the system. It says I do not have enough privileges to do a lot of things, like searching. Is this how it is supposed to be? When will I get privileges to search?

Let me check it out with the Admins .. you should be able to do these things ( although the search is not exactly 100% functional at this time.....
