I've been there, don't feel stupid! I was hesitant, but tried photobucket.com and it's awesome!! It's a free registration that takes less than 5 minutes and it is very quick and easy to upload your pictures to the site and paste here.

Once you upload a picture to photobucket, you just click on the picture to make it full size and then right click on the picture, select "properties" and then "copy" the URL (you know, the "http://" thingie). Then open up the thread you want to post the picture in and hit the "insert image" under the advanced settings when you post. Paste your URL in the post and then hit "insert image" again, which will close it out. ALWAYS HIT "PREVIEW POST" before you actually post to insure your picture actually shows up, this prevents you from putting a bum thread on the board! Another quick way is to just type " afterwards (minus the quotation marks). This is the same thing clicking on "insert image" does, just quicker. Hope that helps and isn't too confusing!!

The alternative would be to post your pics here on the vette forum. Just go to the member galleries section and you can upload pics there. Then you would just follow Bounty Hunter's instructions. Only downside is that on the forum, there is a daily limit of picture uploads. There is also a help section you could visit and post "test" threads to see if your picture posting attemp worked.

I've got this problem to, every time I use the "[img]" tags, all I get is a link to the pic, not the actual pic is posted.

Only problem with this method (and I do use it sometimes) is that you have to wait until your image is "approved" by a moderator before it is available, whereas photobucket.com is instantaneous.
