My PMs are not being saved in my "Sent Files". I only have 34 messages stored, is there any way to get this function working again?
thanks,
peter

The default to "Save Sent" was turned off recently. You can see more info about it here.

Now, just like showing your signature in a post, you need to select the check box now each time. Below is the window you will see below your PM edit window:

I, too had discovered that the default for saving Sent PM's has changed.

While I know about the change and about the necessary step to
click the checkbox, I have still sent several PM's without doing so.
What a disappointment to discover this after composing a detailed
note I would have liked to have kept a copy of!

Put my name down in the list of 'Unhappy Campers'.

I imagine for the mgmt, admins, and techs it is hard to please everyone. This must have been done when it was determined that most wanted the default turned off.

Your name is now "on the list"....

Judging by the action on the other PM thread, looks like I've got
company.

There are two issues with the change. One where they want it back to the default and one where they just didn't know if their PM's were going out because they relied on their sent box to tell them.

Now I know why the last 3 PM's I've sent out are not saved. I thought the system was having a problem or I'd screwed up somehow. Am I to understand the PM's are actually being sent, but, not being saved?????

Put me on that list of unhappy campers as well.

Yes, they are being sent. You have to click the "Save sent items" below the PM window before you submit the PM. See the pic of that box in one of the above posts.

It's now a manual operation instead of an automatic one.

i have a suggestion - so hopefully someone will read this

rather than ask if we want to request a READ receipt for the message we are sending - can that prompt be changed to ask if we want to save a copy to our sent folder?

just curious

I prefer taking the "Save Signature" off as the default in my PM's. And the "receipt" does get annoying at times.

Those would be excellent things to have and discuss in the Steering Committee Section.
