What causes a thread to be closed?

I am curious about htis one...

I'm not a moderator in that section. Go to that section, scroll to the bottom right, and you can see the moderators of that section. PM any one of them and they can either tell you or find the moderator that can.

I think it had probably run its coarse with the "us against them" mentality of many who replied.
The original poster got plenty of bad and some good advice. I provided him with the exact CO Motor Vehicle Code and hinted about the elements of the offense(s). I doubt he bothered to read either statute.
Topics like that start out with "I got a ticket..." and usually end up with "the cop was a jealous fool"...or adding their own stories.
Some people tend to believe only the side of the story they're reading...happens in "I got ripped off by a vendor (or another member)" as well. I wouldn't want them on my jury trial.
