I noticed over the past couple of days that after viewing a thread, I have to hit the web browser "back" button twice instead of once to go back. Mildly annoying. Can we go back to the previous way?
For those of us experiencing this problem - I have the "double-click back button" problem at home, but not here at work. Both computers are on Comcast.net and both have Norton security software, but different versions. I am beginning to believe that a lot of the problems I am having at home are due to conflicts caused by the Norton software (and I am seeing a lot of issues on the home computer).
If this is happening consistently, do me a favor. Scroll down to the bottom ad banner (just above the Quick Reply box). Hit Back and see if the ad in the box changes. Post here to let me know.

Do you also have Norton security software?
You might be on to something. I just checked my work laptop, and it doesn't have the double-click-back problem like my home pc does, and there are a number of differences between it and my home pc.
home pc with double-click-back problem: vista 64, ie7, norton internet security 2007, norton anti-phishing plug-in
work laptop without double-click-back problem: xp, ie6, mcafee

If I hit the pulldown arrow next to the "back" button, the first page listed is some kind of http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pa... I'm not sure what is causing my home pc to see this, and not my work notebook. Maybe it is an ie7 feature, or vista, or who the heck knows.

That's an ad link. But I've never seen one popup on the pulldown/history list.

Topless - can we remove that ad link? How? And will that have any impact on the problem we are experiencing?
Any other input on what could be causing this problem with a few members? I thought it could have been a conflict between my provider and Norton Internet Security, but I am somewhat backing away from that assumption. We are having some problems with cable connections outside the house that need to be repaired - will know more after that.
tonight the Back button works on one click and the
"pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pa" no longer shows in the drop down history list. Coincidence? I think not.

double, triple, click the back button
I just started having this same problem tonight! Had no problem earlier today. I thought it was my computer, but works fine on several other forums I tried! I do have Symantec anti virus. Thanks!

Me too. Just started tonite after a Norton scan. And I have Comcast too. Sometimes I have to back click 4 times to go back one page.
If I just read posts, most of the time I can click once and go back. But if I reply to a post, I have the multi-click problem.

I'm having the same issue. I can see a link something like ...ads.doubleclick.com.....
Sometimes I have to double-click 3 or 4 times to get back to the index page.
