I know last night a software update occurred but now all the alignment of the forum page components is all messed up. Even the order of the menu bar along the top has been changed with User CP first now and Forums next. All the vendor icons on the left side are all messed up, out of alignment and are much smaller then the side bar they sit inside.

The forum header is all messed up with the user information on the right side now is huge, the ad graphics are really small and the forum header top graphic is resized.

The page loads really slow and things are just out of alignment.

The new thread and reply to window is oversized now with most of the page including the Smilies go way off the page to the right hand side.

I'm using latest version of Safari on a Intel based Mac. I loaded the page in the latest version of Firefox 2.x and it is severely worst.

This is almost to the point where the forum pages are unusable.

I'm on Safari on an IntelMac as well :thumb:

The overall "look" changed, because nearly every template changed in the new version of vBulletin. We merged in all of the CorvetteForum customizations into the new template sets, but obviously things are still slightly different in many regards. This is temporary -- we will be updating the site appearance next.

Stage 1 of our upgrade plans was to get us to the newest release of the software not only because of the new features, but because of the large number of security holes fixed. We also cleaned up the back end systems, and made things more robust overall -- preparing for the future. As far as speed, this is the first report I've had of the site being slower -- most unsolicited comments thus far have been positive, but I really want to hear any negatives obviously Any issue is a major issue to us, and we want to ensure we cover all the bases.

Thanks Brains. Probably the slower load was because I had cleared cache after leaving my banking website just before coming onto the forum. So with the new changes it took much longer to load. (My guess.)

Yeah just about everything has changed. I noticed too the changes to the Profile section when went to look for your first name then I looked at mine and yuk the stars and the group of supporting member stars graphics are all messed up.

I'm at work now on another Intel Mac on Safari, and its the same here too. I used the search function for the C6 forum looking for some info for a colleague here. Same issues there but search is functioning.

Glad you all got the update started and fixed any security issues. Do you think this alignment of page components will be looked at and fixed? I also noted the previous/next thread links are nearly the same color as the background so those are a little difficult to see.

I'll keep an eye out and when I see something different will post what I'm observing. Might want to check what is going on with Firefox. I have Firefox 3.01 here at work and noticing several similar issues there too.

You might want to consider a background color change because all these graphic images (gifs) have lots of loose pixels around the edge which makes them look sloppy. We had a similar problem here with a software module we develop, and one vendor who is a well know high end CAD software company used this background color for their version of the software. We had the same issue there too with the graphic images against this dark gray background.

Oh your thumbs up smilie didn't work, just the text appears both in Safari and Firefox 3, but the wink smilie did appear.

Why did the background change to grey?

If you want to keep it you may want to think about changing the buttons and the link colors.
