They do respond. They just do it in a different way. Fact is, they have responded several times.

The responses have all been the same so far.

Watch for which threads get deleted.

That at least tells you they have been here and are reading these complaints. So far the reaction to them has been nothing.

There is no real motivation to do anything. Were all still here and haven't seen a sponsor leave so whats the rush/need to fix anything.

Now mention something BLUE and it's gone................. Watch!!!!!!!!!

This is ridiculous. This forum rarely had any problems when Troy Roberts owned it and you could bet your sweet *** you got an answer pretty quick when you reported a problem. I used to be a supporting member - not anymore!

As long as the bulk of vendors continue to pay (like me) nothing will get done. I've complained, I've emailed my rep, I held up paying my monthly dues, and nothing seems to help. Months ago an IB rep called me and gave me the blah, blah, blah and yet it still if F'd up. I have active Group purchases running and nobody can find them. I signed up for smokinvette.com and the site works real well. It seems it's going to take a huge boycott by vendors to make this work, because vendors pay the bills and that's all Ib would care about. Look for this post of be deleted shortly. That's there typical response

This is unacceptable Tom........what IB is doing to you guys is unconscionable. You excel in customer service in your business and are being told by IB (by virtue of their not responding to you) that they see no value in yours or any of the other vendors support of their site.

Wow! Now I log in and while switching between forums it logs me out by itself??

I don't understand how this is possible. I gotta run before this kicks me out!

Wouldn't it be amazing if someone (ie: IB staff) could enlighten us!!

If you remain active every 14 minutes on this website, you should remain logged indefinitely. If you happen to go inactive for 15+ minutes, your session is expired and you are considered to be inactive.

Now, if you are getting logged out before 15 minutes, you either have a corrupt cookie in your browser (very common), are closing your browser AND not using the "Remember Me?" checkbox when you logged in, or you may be using a proxy (such as AOL).

Cool, but not the case!

Wrong again? Where was I wrong before?

A corrupt cookie can, in fact, only affect one website. I would advise some research before closing doors that may, in fact, help you. It's not uncommon to have a corrupt cookie. Each website uses a cookie, or cookies, so it stands to reason that if one is corrupt, the issue won't be spread across to other websites that use different cookies.

I don't have the issue that you are reporting, and I don't see another user reporting a similar issue.

Good luck.

There's plenty of examples on the web about this, but here's one directly from the vB site from one of the vB team:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230677

Problem:
Hi,
Since upgrading to 3.6 I am experiencing a problem with logging into the forum. I have seen this posted here before but the answer suggests the problem is at the user end. Today I have logged into the forum 5 times and each time it has logged me out within a minute. It is a real nuisance and a new experience for me with vB.
Response:
If you continue to get logged out, then it most likely is a cookie corruption issue in your browser. Delete the cookies for your domain within your browser then login again. There are probably multiple copies of them.
We are skipping the configuration part of the response, but if the configuration was not set, all users would have the same issue as you. I have not seen many, or really any, users reporting the same issue you are. Even if there were a few more reporting the same issue, given the size of CF and the frequency of corrupt cookies, that would most likely be the culprit. I certainly am not experiencing the issue you describe, and my requests are served just the same as they are to you and the others.

I emailed my rep and after a couple days she wrote me back. She says they are trying out a fix on a smaller forum and if that works, they will load it here. I'm not holding my breath

Tom, since there are a few outstanding issues that aren't exactly related to each other directly, it might help to clarify what issue the IB Representative and yourself discussed as possibly being fixed in the near future.

Are you speaking of the search engine?

Tried to respond to this; and yes, you guessed it. "I got logged out again!"
Removed all cookies and will see what happens.
