Default Posting Issue

I tried twice to post a listing in the C5 For Sale Forum. I used the preview function and all looked well, but when I posted it it was trash. I tried to edit it, but was unable to. The whole listing looked strange. I tried to list the item again with the same results.

This is a just a pure guess, but I suspect it may be due to your thread title. vBSEO, a plugin to the vBulletin software, rewrites URLs for the vBulletin software. It takes vBulletin's default URLs, which are often meaningless numbers to the end user, and rewrites them to more understandable and predictable URLs. I have often found it causes some bugs.

Try to edit the thread title and remove the + sign. You don't have BB code in the title, do you?

Here's a direct link to editing both posts:

I would be interested to know if you editing the thread titles, by removing the + sign, has any affect.

Thanks.

Now I can't get anything on your links
Also, the edit button isn't present so I can't edit the + out, which does make since

Sorry about the links. I think I fixed the links above. Try it again? Those links should take you directly to your posts, in the Edit mode (bypassing the need to press the Edit button - which you note is missing in your original posts).

Yea, sorry I forgot to mention that.
I followed both your links and removed the +, but still didn't change anything. I think I deleted the body text and will try a third post with no + from the start
Thanks
Well I just went back and checked and on this forum you can not edit the titles. So I can't take the + 's out
The third attempt is fine without the +
You think a Mod would have noticed this by now and done something. Oh well thanks for the help.

Atleast the bug was narrowed down, so that we know how it happened. As I suspected, it had to do with the + sign in the thread title.

You might want to PM a moderator of that subforum. Moderators likely can edit the thread title. They can probably fix the one post and delete the rest.
