Search not working??

Is the search function down or am I just having no luck finding anything?

I think at the last downtime they did something. Maybe put all the threads in archives? I dunno but everytime i search something its the same things popping up.

Try putting your inquiry in "quotes".

It helps but it doesn't work as well as it used to.

Usually, I always get 250 threads...no matter what I look for.
And even with quotes, it doesn't bring up very good results. It used to be WAY better.

When you did a search before, it used the AND feature. Now it uses the OR feature.

ie....

If you search for "manual transmission" you will get hits for OWNERS MANUAL and you will get hits for RPM AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION since it pulls every post that has EITHER term in it.

Before it would only pull up posts that contained BOTH WORDS.

This is a simple switch in the software. Please change it back to AND instead of OR.

OR... EVEN BETTER... give us the choice in the advanced search area. I know that this may require more work and take time. However, fixing the current issue is literally as easy as flipping a switch.
