Yes, lately when I try to comment (or do anything other than just navigate the site) it just grinds and grinds. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it will double post.

Try deleting your CorvetteForum cookies in FireFox. Normally, issues staying logged in are almost always browser/computer end issues. Very rarely they are server-side issues, and when they are, it impacts a large amount of users.
There was some "maintenance" work performed that did result in log in issues several days ago for numerous users, but those changes were reverted back. Things should be back to normal.
The fact you can stay logged in with IE is a good indication the issue is with FireFox's cookie for CorvetteForum.
I'm a FireFox user myself, and I've not had log in issues since the work discussed above.
Make sure you are using links that have forums.corvetteforum.com in the URL. If you bookmarked any CF page a few days ago during the "maintenance" work, or if you followed a link from an old PM or email notification, you might be using corvetteforum.com/forums URL and that would create some log in issues.
