Every week someone needs help in posting a photo. Other members are kind enough to post for those not so skilled or computer literate. I am a member of other forums in which posting a photo is just a matter of drag and drop or sending as an attachment. In this case it is not that simple and necessary to go through one of the photo storage sites. I have done that but when I then try to post it here all that shows up is the text (URL). (as in my attempted post on the "bought in 2010" thread) In the last week I have noticed other people who posted only the URL. My question is how do I (We) get the picture to post as opposed to the URL text, or is there a simpler way to do this?

Post the img code not the url or html

3) Click "Grab the HTML/BB Code"
4) Copy the link that includes the word "static" - this is the link to use with the "Insert Image" function of the forum.

in addition to hosting sites like photobucket, flikr, etc, it is much easier to just go to the "manage attachments" button at the bottom of the post box and it will allow you to upload a picture you have saved to your computer by using the "browse" and then locating the picture wherever (in whatever folder, etc) you have saved it on your computer. it resizes it to make it compliant, etc and is pretty easy to figure out how to do it. after it uploads, "close the window" just click "post" and the post with the picture appears together.

If you get it figured out, great, if you still can't get it to work, shoot me a PM. I'll give you my cell number and we can talk it through or I'll stop by and show you how to do it.
