Default Login issue

I am advised to post here with this- Recently, when I log in to the forum, I get the usual message box, "Thank you for logging in..." but I have to log in again at least once more to be actually logged in. There have been no changes to my computer settings, which are set to delete cookies upon shutting down, and I have no issues with any other sites that I use. I was advised to clear temporary Internet files, which was most recently done via "Disc Cleanup" last week. Not positive, but I do not think this multiple log-in thing started immediately after the cleanup, but rather some days afterward. BTW, I have the Vista OS. Anyone have any wisdom to offer on this? TIA.

Edit: Another screwball issue has cropped up- Sometimes when I click on a thread from the "My Recent Topics" screen, the thread will display for only a second or two and alternates with the rotating "donut" icon telling me that the system is "processing", also for a second or two, and refuses to stabilize. HELP....

What browser are you using?

As far as the cookie issue, if you did delete the CF cookies and then revisit the site, the issue should be resolved if it was a corrupt cookie (not uncommon). If it's still not resolved, then either you did not delete the CF cookies, your browser is not allowing cookies, or a 3rd party security software is interfering with the cookie.

As far as the processing message, can you provide a screen capture? When did this start?

My opinion is you have some unrelated to CF computer issues.
