Any chance of establishing a forum devoted to corvette literature, e.g., books written about corvettes with reader comments?

Probably not enough demand for it. An attempt to create a separate forum for gun threads and a couple of other subjects was made 2 or 3 years ago and it was dropped for the same reason.

We created a sub-section for the discussion of firearms and sports because there was such a proliferation of threads on those topics in the Off Topic section.

Seemed like a logical move, but site users make it abundantly clear they didn't want those topics separated from Off Topic, so we put everything back like it was.

My concern would be that the activity in such a section would be low and it would become pretty static. We've seen that static sections end up not drawing traffic because site users don't think there will be anything new for them to check out.

If you are willing to try an experiment, however, maybe we can get a feel for the level of interest.

Go to the die casts and collectibles section ...

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/die-...llectibles-69/

... and start a thread with your review of a Corvette book you have that you enjoyed and ask others to add their own recommendations to the thread.

Once you've done so, let me know and I'll make it sticky for a while and we'll see what happens.

Will do. Thanks for the suggestion.
