Default Is anyone else having forum site problems?

Day after day, I continue to have issues with this forum. I can read a thread, then when finished, hit the back button to return where I was and the site locks-up to a blank screen with only the forum header. No matter how long I wait, it never returns. I can only exit without logging off, then logging on again. Anyone else? Advise?

I have never had a problem.

Maybe it has something to do with the combination of your computer operating system, the internet provider and this site.

I have never had a problem with this site in 4 years, as a matter of fact it is always extremely fast. Mac computer though.

In the last few weeks, and especially today, CF seems a lot slower than other sites I visit.

The other sites will load up a full page with graphics, similar to a CF page, in a second or two. CF takes 5-10 seconds. That doesn't sound like a lot, but if I go to look at 50 short threads then I end up spending more time waiting for the threads to load, than I do reading them.

When I hit the back button nothing happens, the system just sets there. The only way out is to close IE and then log on again

If you are using windows are you up to date with recommended changes? I had the same problem a while back and it went away once I applied the latest changes to windows and Internet Explorer.

I use 3 different browsers on my iMac, Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox. In a very unofficial test of download times of full page Cf threads, even graphic intensive ones the refresh time is around 1 to 2 seconds with all 3 browsers. Try going to a page, then another, then go back to the original page again. That would put the page in your cache and it would normally load faster. Anyone else having a problem using a Mac computer?

I have the same probs but with anything i click on, not just back out of. PM's do it also. I just right click and hit refresh and it seems to help.

It varys from day to day, and time of day. Sometime the site works fine and other times i get a blank screen almost everytime.

I get this same screen frequently and at times that there may be more activity. Often, if I press CTRL-F5 to force refresh, the screen finishes and other times, nothing happens. It's like the port was lost in the sequence of acknowledgements.

the site seems to be running better today...been logged-in for a couple of hours (watching football & doing CF !)
A little slowness, but it is intermittent...

perhaps the site is also affected by the number of users at any one time (if so, not good IMO)...

EDIT: looks like I spoke too soon...25 mins. later now...the site is acting-up/slowing down again. user overload ?

Yup, that's the screenshot that's so frustratingly familiar!
