Default Red X DEFAULT

I am seeing a red X with the word DEFAULT at the top left of every post. It just started today. How do I get rid of it?

Do you not see the image linked below:

If not, try clearing your browser's cache.

Any other images missing?

In IE: Tools:Internet Options:Browsing History:delete - be sure temporary internet files box is checked and press delete

In Chrome, tools:clear browsing data

I have it also. I've cleared my cache and cookies. Still see it. Must be some kind of Forum problem.

Can you please link to a specific thread you're seeing this issue with? Perhaps a screen capture as well?

By the way, when clearing cache, you may need to disable the Preserve Favorites Data if you have CorvetteForum marked as a Favorite/Bookmark. Otherwise all temporary files won't be deleted.

I need the above information (direct link a thread with the issue, is any other images missing) to help. I also need to know the style you're using.

I'm seeing the icon in both IE and Firefox, so I'm missing the common element for those having the issue.

I'm not seeing a red X but I do see "Default" above every post
The word default appears where you would type in a title to ones post

I have it on Internet explorer 10 (preview) but not on Google Chrome. I've had Explorer 10 for a few weeks but the default just started.

I was just going to post a thread about the same thing. Starting yesterday I believe, all posts have a "(red) X Default" on the post title bar (see example below) instead of the usual. I clean the cache ...the entire machine regularly with CCleaner but I'll try it again to see if it helps.

PS I just performed a complete 'cleanin' (including cache) with CCleaner and there's no change....the problem is still there.

This is where the image is located:

http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...cons/icon1.gif

Is it possible that the image is gone from that location or something in the path has changed?

In looking at the image info, the "Associated Text" says Default

But I see the image with no problem. Win7, FireFox 17.0.1

With FF, I can right-click on the red X and select "View Image Info". There is a box for "Block images from images.corvetteforum.com Is that box checked?

It's still there for me today. I was having some problems with JAVA on my computer yeaterday which I thought might be the problem since I see that JAVA software is used in the forum posts; but I downloaded the latest update for JAVA and it didn't help. The red X and the word Default still appear at the top of every post. It must be a forum problem since so many others are also reporting it and clearing Caches doesn't solve the problem.

You mean the members who can't see the image above might have "images.ibsrv.net" blocked as that's where that specific image is hosted from.

If images.corvetteforum.com were blocked, there'd be a lot more images missing.

I'm still looking into the issue, but the above is one of the few, same, ideas that I currently have.

I'm able to see the image on all common browsers as are others. However, there's enough people reporting the issue that I have some doubt that all of them are blocking "images.ibsrv.net". But that's the best guess I currently have.

While there are some reporting the issue, others (such as myself) do not have this issue. I need to find the common element but I'm also needing information as requested previously.

1) What theme/skin are you using?
2) Please provide a direct link to a specific thread that shows this issue - even if all threads do so. I need something to work with.

This is exactly what I'm seeing on all posts.

I am not sure what you are asking. Theme, skin aren't familiar to me.

1) There is an image below this sentence. Do you see it?

2) There's an image below this sentence. Do you see it?

If you don't see either of the two images above

1) Please provide me with what browser your using and any addons/extensions you're using.
2) Are you using an security software, such as SpyBot, etc.
3) Please also go to your Windows' HOST file and look to see if ibsrv.net is listed.

The path for the icons/images listed above are correct and can be viewed publicly. For those of you who can't view the images, it's my best guess that you may have some security software that is possibly blocking those images from loading. This could have came through via a software update with your security program or it could have been manually added by accident.

I'll do further investigating but the information above may help.
