You will not get email notifications for every single new activity to your subscribed threads. That is so your inbox won't be flooded. You'll only receive one email notification per each subscribed thread until you become active on the site to reset the process. So if you have 3 new replies to a subscribed thread while you're inactive on the site, you'll only see 1 email notification and nothing further for that subscribed thread until you become active on the site.
If there are any missing email notifications, you'll need to check your Spam/Junk folder.
