Is there a way to directly post a pic from my pics folder on my puter to here?

Not unless you are a Supporting Member. Otherwise you have to host the pics on a hosting website like Photobucket. Check out the Help section for information on posting pics.

Look under your avatar and click on the "My Corvette Photos" or the "Garage is empty, add now".

I don't know how much space is allowed, but give it a shot...

Server space is not "free".

When you host the picture somewhere else (photobucket, tinypic, etc), your not taking up forum space.
Supporting (paying) members are allowed the use of some server space.
