since around 6:00 last night, the site only loads every 5 minutes for a minute or so. it's really a pain to search and read threads. once I post this I probably won't be able to get back on for another 5 minutes.
I haven't been able to access this site via my Comcast cable service since yesterday. I'm able to access it on my cellphone which is how I'm posting this message. I wonder if its a DNS/WINS issue?
Performance has been horrible on my machine since the site came back up. Had been very good for months and once they restored it, I time out just trying to get to the site and then trying to post by quoting a previous post can take 30 seconds to more than a minute where it previously had been under 10 seconds.

Same here.
For the past couple of days I've been having problems connecting to Corvette Forum. The Corvette Forum is the only site that my connection is timing out on.
Facts:
- Comcast:
- wireless router speed: avg 20 mb/s download, avg 5 mb/s upload.
- direct connection to modem is avg 27 mb/s download, avg 5 mb upload.
- I cannot connect using the router or direct connection
Right now I'm using my aircard which is connecting through my Verizon cell service. Its speed is avg 17 mb/s download and 8 mb/s upload.
I'm using Speedtest.net for the speed numbers.
BTW, I'm using Safari and Firefox; same results.

Like I said above, I believe starting yesterday, there was a serious amount of non-legitimate traffic on the network that caused some disruptions and performance issues. That was not a DNS issue nor was it confined to Comcast subscribers.
While things have gotten better since, it's likely there are still some intermittent issues that some may be seeing.
It's also possible that, perhaps, there was more than one issue and that Comcast could have had their own issue while CorvetteForum was experiencing network issues yesterday. If you are having DNS issues with Comcast, you can change your DNS server to any number of other DNS servers. A common one is Google's DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

5:56 pm Pacific time - have been trying to logon for over an hour. Gave up and walked away, came back ten minutes later and logged on first try. It's been like this for two days.

Non-legitimate traffic meaning? Denial of service attack, technical problems, what is this?

I'm having the same problem, had to go on the ol iPad. I am hoping upgrading from a D2 to D3 router may fix it, of course just when the Z was going to go on the classifieds.
