Like I said above, I believe starting yesterday, there was a serious amount of non-legitimate traffic on the network that caused some disruptions and performance issues. That was not a DNS issue nor was it confined to Comcast subscribers.
While things have gotten better since, it's likely there are still some intermittent issues that some may be seeing.
It's also possible that, perhaps, there was more than one issue and that Comcast could have had their own issue while CorvetteForum was experiencing network issues yesterday. If you are having DNS issues with Comcast, you can change your DNS server to any number of other DNS servers. A common one is Google's DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
That worked, thank you for helping this dinosaur crawl out of the tar pit.
I haven't been able to access this site via my Comcast cable service since yesterday. I'm able to access it on my cellphone which is how I'm posting this message. I wonder if its a DNS/WINS issue?

I just changed my DNS to an openDNS server, and now all is well in my internet land.
J T, ... the reason I went with openDNS is because it will let you know if a website has a known malware problem. The google servers won't and are "unfiltered" servers according to my google search. Thanks for the help!
