JT - I'm not sure that clearing cookies is sufficient. Once cookies are cleared, I was able to access the forums.... until logging in. Once you login, it sets the cookie back and redirects you to m.corvetteforum.com again and you're locked out again (this was true on Safari/Firefox on Mac).
I'd question if all cookies were cleared. Logging out is not the same as clearing cookies. There is a special cookie used to remember if the visitor selected the mobile skin or not. If that's deleted, you would get a prompt asking if you want the mobile skin or not when you browse using a mobile device. If that cookie is not deleted, whatever preference you previously selected is remembered. I suppose it's possible someone changed to the mobile skin in their account through the UserCP, which is stored on the account while the drop-down selector in the upper-right and lower-left of the pages are cookie-based.
Yes, mine was changed in my account settings in the user CP. Tested on a Mac, not phone, and tested on my wife's computer, which doesn't visit CF :-). Most likely this was due to the user CP setting.
I used "lightweight" version because the app was terrible...no color variations etc. Lightweight was better. Can't find App on Google Play...what is the name?

I don't have any updates at this time beyond that it has been reported. Only a few know the answer to what and why on this topic and I wasn't one of them. I'm waiting for a response.
The issue will occur for everyone trying to use the mobile skin "Lightweight".
The forums are still accessible through the mobile app, which is available through Google Play, or through the normal desktop/full version. When the mobile skin was released, so many people wanted a "real app" - which has now been available and still works - that I'm surprised some are still using the old mobile skin "Lightweight" instead of the "real app".
Make sure to edit your user options in the control panel and change from the lightweight theme to the normal theme. The app doesn't work if you have lightweight selected (that is, if you try to login it will then fail.)
That explains your case. It's not normal to have Lightweight defined as your selection in the UserCP. I also wouldn't recommend it. It can prevent access to the forums under specific conditions (such as using a laptop/computer that hasn't logged in or had browser cookies deleted).

Same here - cleared cookies and using the WWW version. Have the app but do not like it, prefer the M version. Will go back to the M version as soon as it is fixed.

It keeps timing me out and the app closes. I see the number of replies lite up on the app but when you click on the app it just goes to the general page. Shouldn't it go to the reply?
To update, the issue is queued for a resolution. With the holidays, I think staff is a bit short and, like I said previously, I wasn't sure if this was planned decommission in favor of the "real app" or not and so I had to wait for an official word this morning.

Thanks JT!
We are eagerly awaiting the mobile "skin" fix.
Please keep us posted
Happy New Year to you!
Like the others here I'm experiencing the same issue with the mobile skin. Will continue to follow this post for issue resolution. In the meantime I am using the mobile app.

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear it's not a planned decommission... I tried the app last week and didn't care for it. In fact, when the mobile site first started not loading in my browser a few days ago, I really suspected the app had done something to cause that... until I googled and found this thread. nonetheless, I deleted the app.
