How do I get my profile pic to appear when I post a reply to a thread?

You can't. People only see your profile picture when they look at your profile.

If you become a paying member, you can put a picture in your signature. Then you can select the option to display your signature by selecting that option when you create a post.

Please review our Help Guide as it will help you to see the difference between a Profile Picture (one that only displays in a profile page) and an Avatar (one that displays next to posts):

I think you want an Avatar. Look at the Help Guide, linked above, for instructions to set one.
