Over the past several months, I have started to get this message:
Error: The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be a result of the forum software plugin being outdated or having a conflict.
The error is becoming more and more frequent. It most commonly happens on subscribed threads (cannot open the thread from the subscriptions page), but I have had it happen to other threads too from C5 General and others. Once it starts happening on a particular thread, that thread is pretty much doomed forevermore on my phone.
Been using the mobile app for a couple of years, this only started happening a few months ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times, rebooting the phone inbetween, no help. Clearing out the image cache and stored logins is no help either.
My phone is a Samsung S4 using Android version 4.4.2.
I used to use the app all the time on my phone, but am about ready to give up.
I don't recall hearing any case where uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't clear that specific error.
That said there is a beta version in testing and so I don't know how much resources are being given to the current version.

Same issue for me, happens most frequently when going into a thread I had gone into previously, or attempting to go to the next page in a thread. It's almost making usage of the app unbearable.
IPhone 6 here; same exact issue.
Can't use the mobile app this way.
Have been using it daily wo error for a long time.
Can you fix it please?
Love this forum!
I have finally given up and uninstalled it for the last time...it is unusable anymore...this is what I get at least 50% of the time now...
...it does not say "parse error" like so many others...just "error" so I don't know if it is the same issue or not. Regardless, what was once a great app is now completely useless.
I posted one yesterday night. One of the problems is we now have 4 threads covering the same topic and that does not make it easy to manage or follow the subject: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1589307067
That is still the latest.

The team is aware of the issue and it's still being investigated. It may be related to some required changes for the new app that is planned for release, soon.
While this doesn't resolve the issue, and the following doesn't either, CorvetteForum can still be accessed via the mobile theme in your browser or using the normal theme in your browser while the changeover is occurring.
Thank you for looking into this!
What's so funny is that I can't get to the second page of this thread to read what's come of this or read all of the messages 😜

Just so you understand, no one is doing anything about this parse error. I reported the problem and received the same response as you probably 2 years ago.
Support is probably sent off shore where you are considered a fat, rich, lazy, whiney American that drives a Corvette by someone in Mumbai. They could care less.
