I have the same problem with Firefox and only on the Corvette forum page. I installed the Noscript addon and now things are ok on Corvette Forum but I may have problems on other sites. I think the script has a problem.
Moved this to the Help forum where it will be seen by IB Tech. They monitor this section. In fact, they are aware of the issue (the problem is not actually on CF):
It is a known issue with an ad partner. It is occurring on other sites that use their services. The proper people have been notified.

I searched the problem over at firefox. They said to load yes script have it stop all scripts from the offending site. I did that and blocked all scripts at www.corvetteforum.com. All is well now, and it works faster than ever, and no banner ads to boot!

I added YesScript to my Firefox addons but couldn't make it solve the problem at Corvetteforum. However, NoScript did get rid of the problem.
While CorvetteForum is free to access and use, it is not free to operate the volume of traffic and content that CorvetteForum has. No $9.99/month host could keep CorvetteForum online. Ads help to pay these bills, support continued software and hardware upgrades and also turn profit for the company that owns CorvetteForum.
When we're aware of issues with ads, we try to address them. It may not be easy or quick, due to the way it's setup, but the team does try to resolve those issues.
The script issue reported today was investigated and is resolved.
We can't support using 3rd party software that alters the appearance or functionality of the website. Nor can we support doing so while keeping CorvetteForum free to use and access but not free to operate.
If someone continues to have this issue, please post further details.
This thread shouldn't become about using 3rd party software to block ads while using the site for free despite the site is not free to operate. This is the 3rd time today you've done that to 3 different threads.
