Default noticed some thread replies are broken and "first unread post" button not working

I've noticed two things lately:

First issue: I have noticed that occasionally there is a reply to a post that simply appears to be broken. To explain, here is an example:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...i-vs-f1-a.html

in the C7 Forced Induction subsection, this thread shows that it had a reply by member CorvetteKilla at 1:45PM today.

But when you navigate into the thread, the reply is completely missing. I have confirmed that this is not a browser issue (tested multiple) as well as tested across PC and IPhone both showing the same results. I have also tested manually navigating to the thread and going to the last post vs trying to click to "go to post" quick button and neither works. The only way to confirm reply exists and see the content is to go to the profile for the member that it shows made the reply, and look at their recent posts and you can see some of the content.

This has happened before so it is not the first time. Why does this happen on the forum and what can be done to fix it?

Second issue: When I go to the UserCP to see all of my subscribed threads with new replies, I very frequently use the quick button to "go to first new post" in the thread. There are some threads, that this button gets "broken" and clicking it always brings you to the first post and this quick button no longer works for the life of the thread. Any ideas on that?

Thanks mods!

I believe this was due to a post being in Moderation. If so, it should not have shown up at all until approved. As this is the only example, it's difficult to make a solid conclusion.

I've never heard of this happening - that once the New Post doesn't work for a given thread, it no longer works for "life" of said thread. With the way the system handles that feature, I can't even see how that's even possible. We'll need some examples as well as a copy/paste of the URL as shown in your UserCP. The URL must be exactly as grabbed from the UserCP because the URL is part of the process used by your browser to direct you to the proper area of the thread.

Roger that, and thank you JT. I’ll get some more exaples and specific link info when I can. As this does not happen frequently, it may take a week or two before I have that info.

Thanks!
