The issue for me is that when I try to post a picture from an album, the album contents don't load so I can't select a picture to post. Latest versions of win10/chrome, no extensions loaded that could be interfering.
Seems to be a separate issue today, which is browsing for an image directly on your computer.
What do you mean? CorvetteForum does not manage nor directly controls browsing images on your computer. That's between your browser and OS. If you can't get the dialog box to open, that might be one thing. But the contents are not CF's side.

When you attempt to upload an image by clicking on the 'image' icon, it displays a dialog box called 'image properties' instead of allowing you to browse for an image.
.
Just noticed it occurring this morning under Chrome and FF, and it's occurring when attempting to edit a post and insert an image.

Not seeing what you're describing. The two uploads above were from my local computer using Firefox. Might try clearing browser cache?
instead of posting to the forum page the image goes to the album, and will not transfer from the album to the page either
this problem is severely limiting my ability to post meaningful comments with pictures

All pictures uploaded to a post are saved to the user's album. That is normal and has been the case for some months. There should be an album My Post Pictures.
Pictures, specifically the URL, is then copy/pasted, by the system, into the post. However for some members this "transfer" doesn't always occur. The team is aware of this and has been working on a fix.
Today I was able to post a small picture from my Album into a For Sale posting I have on the forum. First I tried all the normal ways to complete the process and they did not work, but I was able to go to my Album, Right Click on an image and select Copy. Next I went to the forum post and in the Reply box did a right click and selected Paste. The image transferred but was not very large. Example below. Once the image is pasted it appeared as a quote. Selecting Edit followed by a Save made the image finally appear.
Maybe somebody else has a workaround they would like to share?

The work around is instead of doing the copy/paste as you did, upload the picture to the Album (as you did) then when you use the Upload feature in the Post select My Albums option. That is the option to copy over pictures from your album and insert them into posts. That should allow transferring (copying) over the image from the Album to the Post.
Sorry JT that does not work. Once the My Album selected picture populates the window, and I select Upload, the Upload Files window closes and nothing transfers (appears) to the Reply to Thread text space . I even waited several minutes.

Reason: fixed text.
I noticed a couple of nights ago; The pictures I tried to load were taken from my phone, emailed to my computer than crossed over through the normal "select" way. They would not load. I went back and cropped the pictures just a bit and then retried the same procedure. The second time they loaded?

Haven't heard of that being an issue with the album. We know the album method is a work-around and other members had reported it working. It works for me but then again so does skipping the album and attaching directly to the post. Guess the server likes me better. Make sure you're using a common browser with no extensions that might interfere. Beyond that I'm unsure since this isn't a common issue that I'm aware of (album method).

Might want to try that?
That might suggest the images are large and/or the connection to the server is slow and not allowing the full-size resolution pictures to upload, process and then appear in the editor.
Still no joy. I just tried to post a 62k .jpg file twice from My Album using Edge and Chrome browsers. Since I am retired and it's been rainy and generally crappy outside this is a welcome challenge. Later I am going to resurrect a Win7 laptop with Explorer and see what happens. I've no problem with the issue being on my end. I'd just like to fix it.
Bajaholic - what Version of software and browser are you using?
Tried Win7 and Explorer this evening and had the same negative results. My first effort yielded the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. So that didn't help.
Then I tried my Android LG phone again using the 4G Verizon network instead of my home wireless, and the 62k file from My Album I previously tried did in fact upload, but only once. At first I thought my wireless network might be the issue but I'm not sure now. After one successful upload I tried about 10 more times and could not succeed. I may play with the router and also try a direct connection to my cable modem but I'm not very confident it will change anything.
I believe I have found my issue with posting pictures. This morning I was reading a new post and the OP was having problems posting pics. Forum member Rebel Yell suggested he use the Image Icon next to the smiley face Image icon in the tool bar and I had never tried that. I always used the Paperclip icon. If the Image icon was ever mentioned I missed reading that, but in the end I was able to successfully post pictures from my album! I'll test again later to make sure it was not a fluke but it looks like a broken paperclip could be the cause of my problems. Yeah!
