How do you rotate your avatar picture? The picture is correct in my google photos file.

Pictures upside down or sideways is because that's how the picture was actually taken. It might appear correctly on the device and some other places because the orientation is recorded with the picture and some software reads that information and adjusts.
But posting that online will have mixed results because not all software reads that information.
The solution is to take the picture in the correct orientation so that no adjustment is necessary.
