Walmart banner
Walmart banner ad at the top of the page causes my computer to slow down/freeze/crash. No other ad does it. There is no box to close the ad.

Well; if you wouldn't be stealing internet from Cracker Barrel you wouldn't have these problems would you.....

I'm in one of their consult groups (am Forman of said group)...we routinely recommend broke diks git hammered with banner ads.
This is just one of many ways to keep the riff-raff out of OT and herded into C5,6, and 7 gen. with the rest of the fat *** baldies with no humor.

I started seeing it 4-5 days ago. I notified "JT", and he said it was a problem at my end of the chain. He also said to "right click" on it, and send him the address for it, but you can't. It seems this thing is "bulletproof".....
EDIT...….OK, I just installed AdBlock Plus, and came back here, to CF. What's the FIRST thing that shows up, after I log on?? THE WALMART BANNER AD!!!

I'll have the ad removed if you believe it is causing an issue. Since this is not an ad directly from CorvetteForum, like any of our local sponsors, it is very difficult to know which ad it is without the aforementioned.
If this can't be done, I'd suggest try clearing all of your browser's cache (history, cookies, etc.,) and that may help but it might not fully resolve the issue. The downside is that you will have to re-enter your username/password for all sites as well as set any other cookie-based settings per site. If you do this, make sure the Save Favorites Data is not selected otherwise this process won't fully work.
Thanks.

I also asked for the URL and stated we could remove the ad if you believed it was the issue.
If plugins that alter the appearance and/or functionality of the website are being installed, then we (and I'm sure anyone else in our position) can't support that when other things don't work. That's not even noting that while this site is free to access and use the site is not free to operate and ads help pay to keep a service free despite it's not free to provide.
If anyone wants to provide the necessary information (screen capture or a click-through link is best) for the Walmart ad, please PM me or email forumsupport@corvetteforum.com and I'm sure it will get forwarded to me.
Thanks.
