Forum Change
Up until that time, I could respond to a thread, hit "submit new thread, and as soon as the thread posted my response I could hit <alt><back arrow> twice (like within the first second that the post came up) and return to where I was.
About 2-3 weeks ago, when doing this, I saw my response posted then got stuck on my response page (one of the <alt><back arrow> was obeyed, and an error message displayed "your post may have not been submitted:" and given the choice of "leave" or "cancel". So now, It takes 10x longer after a post to get back to where I was.
This sounds like a timer was installed where there was not one before.
So, why was this change initiated? and is there any way to "make it go away"?

The "leave or cancel" prompt you're talking about has been in the software for months. It is triggered by the WYSIWYG editor if there is text put into the editor. Basically, it's a prompt (from the browser) to make sure you understand you're leaving the page and may lose whatever you typed in the input box.
