Default Question about reading posts

I have been reading this forum for the past several weeks. On other internet forums I belong to, when I click on a thread that I have read before, it automatically takes you to the last post post you read when you click on it again. In other words, if I click on a thread today that has new posts since yesterday, it goes to where it ended last time I read it so you don't have to sift through it to find that spot. I have searched through the FAQ and User CP and can't find a setting that does that here and it doesn't seem to be a default setting. Am I missing something or does this software not have that capability?

IIRC, you can use the subscribe button (little bell) & you get email when there’s been a new response & that’s true also if you made any post to that thread. Hope I’m correct.😬

Thanks for the reply. The "subscription" button sends me an email when there is a reply to the thread. But when I click on the thread when skimming the forum, it doesn't take me to that post. In other words what I am looking for is a bookmark for each thread. So when I open the book each time I can pick up where I left off instead of having to sift through the book to find where I think I left off. Its pretty much a standard on most of the forums I belong to, but most of those are on a completely different topic. So it may not be standard on car forums, although the platform looks almost identical.

Don't click on the thread title, instead click on the little down arrows ( ) in front of the thread title. That will take you to the first unread post.

There's also the Help Forum. I'm moving this thread to there.

Didn't know that. I go to the last post and hit the double right arrow next to the last poster "by tom"

That takes you to the last post, but not necessarily the last post that you have read.

Of course he is. He's the moderator, not to mention Z.
