Totally Confused on what threads to use. Can somebody please explain the differences of all these threads. I posted a thread yesterday by clicking on the new thread and have so several times. It never showed up as a Normal thread like I have seen in the past. Thanks!!

What do you mean?
"Thread Starter" is a tag that appears under the member's name when they are the first poster of the thread being viewed. So you have the "Thread Starter" tag for this thread, given you started this thread. Any subsequent replies by you in this thread will continue to display the "Thread Starter" tag. This is not a new feature and has been in use for some time.
Aside from that, your message is confusing. "New Thread Thread"? "Normal thread"?
